Che organized and directed the Instituto Nacional de la Reforma Araria to administer the new agrarian law expropriating the large landholders. He also was appointed President of the National Bank of Cuba. He was Cubans Minister of Industry from 1961-1965, but stepped crush when his relationship with Fidel Castro worsened. He pushed the Cuban economy so spry into total communism, and into crop and production diversification, that he temporarily ruin it.

He led a force of 120 Cubans into Congo, but the local revolutionaries were poorly trained, and the mission ended in a failure. His last adventure took him to Bolivia. A small revolutionary movement has begun, so Guevara decided to take himself and a party of Cuban guerrillas to whip up support for the movement among the locals. Unfortunately, Guevara had overestimated the support the U.S. trained Bolivian Army and CIA would receive on October 9,1967, which got Che captured by a them and shot a day later.
